     John Jackson Tumlinson was born on May 4, 1816 at Missouri. He married Harriet B. Garey, daughter of Seymour Garey and Anna Kingsbury, on Mar 24, 1844 at Gonzales County, Texas. John Jackson Tumlinson died circa 1847 at Gonzales County, Texas.

     Mary Ann Cooper was born on Aug 25, 1816 at Pulaski County, Kentucky. She married William Van Hook Sr. on Jun 19, 1834 at Rush County, Indiana. Mary Ann Cooper died on Jun 17, 1856 at Pickard, Clinton County, Indiana, at age 39. She was buried at Hills Baptist Church Cemetery, Pickard, Clinton County, Indiana.

     Eliza Hollan was born in 1817 at Kentucky. She married Alfred Fatheree on Sep 27, 1831 at Hinds County, Mississippi. Eliza Hollan married Samuel M. Neal at Jackson Parish, Louisiana, was a widow with five children when she married Sam Neal and was buried at Old Terryville Cemetery. Eliza Hollan died in 1863.

     Robert Waldon Courtney was born in 1817 at Delaware County, New York.

     Pennel McClure was born on Jan 2, 1817. He died on Oct 6, 1842 at age 25.

     Montgomery Givens was born on Feb 10, 1817 at Berry's Lick, Butler County, Kentucky. He married Unis Anne McCoy on Mar 26, 1839 at Berry's Lick, Butler County, Kentucky. Montgomery Givens died on Jun 1, 1863 at Berry's Lick, Butler County, Kentucky, at age 46.

     Aliena Louise Byars was born on Mar 24, 1817 at Christian County, Kentucky. She married Isham Autrey on Sep 16, 1837 at Jefferson County, Alabama. Aliena Louise Autrey died on Nov 7, 1886 at Lavaca County, Texas, at age 69 and was buried at Memorial Cemetery in Halletsville.
     She moved to Chickasaw County, Mississippi before 1840 and lived there until after 1852 and then moved to Texas.

     Emily McClure was born on Apr 26, 1817 at Middletown, Rutland County, Vermont. She married Backkus H. Haynes on Dec 2, 1841 at Middletown, Rutland County, Vermont. Emily McClure died on Mar 23, 1900 at age 82.

     Nancy Cooper was born on May 11, 1817 at Christian County, Kentucky. She married Byrum C. Goyne.
     The 1840 Federal Census enumerated her as head of household in 1840 Jefferson County, Alabama; shows Byrum C. Goyne, age 20-30; wife, age 20-30; son age 0-5; and son age 5-10. The 1850 Federal Census enumerated her as head of household in 1850 Kemper County, Mississippi; page 178.

     Richard Jordan Wortham was born on Oct 29, 1817 at Warren, North Carolina.

     Merrill/Marel/Murrel Cooper married Experience Gregg at Rush County, Indiana. Merrill/Marel/Murrel Cooper was born before 1818. He died on Aug 17, 1845.

     Sarah Jane "Sally" Newman was born in 1818 at Madison County, Illinois Territory. She married Jesse Robinson on Oct 13, 1833 at Colordo County, Texas; by bond, March 31, 1838 were married by ceremony. Sarah Jane "Sally" Robinson and Jesse Robinson were divorced. Sarah Jane "Sally" Newman died in 1868.
     She resided in 1825; settled on the Colorado River, in the Egype area of present day Wharton County, in Stephen F. Austin's Colony.

Bingham, 71 b 1818 in Massachusetts; Agnes 38, b 1852 Mississippi, father born Tennessee, motheer born North Carolina; Richard S. 15, born 1874; William F. 13, born 1876; John H. Jr. 11, born 1888.

     John Karl was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Yoakum, DeWitt County, Texas. He was born on Apr 1, 1818 at Baden-Baden, Germany. He married Victoria März. John Karl died on Jun 4, 1874 at Oak Grove Cemetery at age 56.

     Sarah Ann McClure was born on Jul 26, 1818 at Brookfield, Worcester County, Massachusetts. She married William H. Spurr on May 16, 1843 at Brookfield, Worcester County, Massachusetts.

     John Mac Ruston was born on Aug 14, 1818 at North Carolina; 1860 census says born 1823; 1900 census says 1817. He married Minerva M. Selkridge (Silcriggs), daughter of Joseph Newman and Rachel Rabb, on Oct 3, 1848 at DeWitt County, Texas. John Mac Ruston married Amanda Garey, daughter of Seymour Garey and Sarah "Sally " Carney, on Sep 10, 1851 at DeWitt County, Texas. John Mac Ruston married Mrs. Elizabeth A Davis on Feb 4, 1875 at Caldwell, Burleson, Texas; to Mrs. E. A. Davis. John Mac Ruston died on Jun 23, 1908 at DeWitt County, Texas, at age 89. John M.Suston (should be listed John M. Ruston):
An aged Man Died; Lacked one month and twenty-one days of being ninety years of age.
On Tuesday night at the home of Mr and Mrs. Wm Rice, which is within three miles of this city. Mr. John M. Suston [Ruston] died from Brights Disease.
This gentleman liked just one month and twenty-one days of having lived one score and ten years longer than the allotted life. Mr. Suston would have been had he lived to see the 14th of August, 90 years of age, and almost every year of that age, until recently, has been full of vigor and health.
Mr. Suston leaves three sons, Andy Suston residing near Austin, George Suston, residing near Wharton and John Suston who when last heard was in Florida. Of these three only George Suston will be in attendance upon the funeral.
Mr. Suston moved to Texas from Alabama in the good year 1836 and located in DeWitt County. From there he fought in the Mexican War, and then the Civil War and fought Indians for the fun of the thing. He has been engaged in almost every hard Indian fight to take place in this part of the state. His war records have all been clear and clean ones, and his readiness to fight for his home and country was never disputed.
Mr. Suston first located in DeWitt County. After which he moved to Bastrop County and then later on back here. He has been married three times, each of his wives, being died some years ago. Mr. Suston has been a constant user of chewing tobacco since a boy and used it until his very death. He drank some whiskey, occasionally drinking to excess but very seldom. The latter years of the old gentleman have been spend in the home of his step-grandson, Mr. Wm. Rice, at whose home the old gentleman breathed his last. The funeral took place today when his remains were buried at the Alexander Cemetery.
     He moved from Alabama to Texas in 1836. Rachel Newman Rabb (Minerva's mother) was granted guardianship of Minerva's children, Elizabeth Ann, Serena and Andrew. In 1856, John Ruston petitioned the court for guardianship of Andrew and it was granted. Andrew was 6 years old in 1851. The 1880 Federal Census enumerated him as head of household on Jun 1, 1880 DeWitt County, Texas; Precinct 15, John M. 58, born Tennessee.

     Elijah Garey was born in 1819 at Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. He died on Sep 18, 1842 at Dawson Massacre, Bexar County, Texas.

     Albert Garey was born in 1819 at Windham Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

     James Buffington married Fanny 2 McClure, daughter of Penuel 2 McClure and Fanny Lathrop. James Buffington was born in 1819.

     Amanda Garey was born between 1819 and 1821 at Windham Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. She married Truman Courtney, son of John Courtney and Roxana Blinn, circa 1838 at Cortland County, New York. Amanda Garey married John Mac Ruston on Sep 10, 1851 at DeWitt County, Texas. Amanda Ruston died after 1880.
     John Ruston married Elizabeth and had three children, first born in 1874. In 1900, John Ruston was living with William Rice and family. (1880 census: John Rustin with wife Elizabeth and three children born 1874, 1876 and 1880; 1900 census: John Ruston living with William Rice and family) at DeWitt County, Texas. Tax assessment on Miscellaneous Property value $155 1873 Gonzales County. The 1880 Federal Census enumerated her as in the household of J H Bingham and family on Jun 1, 1880 Kerrville, Kerr County, listed as married and living with J. H. and Agnes Bingham and their 3 sons, Richard S 5, William F 3, and John H 1.
