Mr. Rice was laid to rest in the Alexander Cemetery Monday afternoon, Jan 26, at 4 o'clock."

Jesse James Rice married Wilhemena Minnie Schulz, daughter of Christian Schulz and Friederika Monke, on 22 August 1906 at Yoakum, Lavaca County. Jesse James Rice was educated in 1915 at Palacios Baptist Academy. He died on 15 December 1949 at Yoakum, Texas, at age 64 [died of heart attack; death certificate no 62754; informant Mrs. Agnes Kelley, daughter]. He was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Yoakum. He was a minister.

Rice: Eugene & Dora Rice had a trunk in the attic of their old house filled with family records, old letters, and information of all kinds concerning the family tree. Then they built a new house next to their old house. They had to transfer everything from the old to the new house. They put the trunk on a bonfire they had going to burn up trash. He was the County Agricultural Agent for Knox Co in Benjamin, Texas between 1934 and 1941. He married Clara Marie Beckman, daughter of Frederick N. M. Beckman and Martha Fischer, on 8 September 1934 at Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. Walter William Rice served in the U. S. Army during World War II as an officer. He married Alice Kenneely. Walter William Rice died on 29 July 1970 at age 66.
